march IN//march OUT

I lost my grandma; the memories remain, so strong, her presence wraps me in warmth, keeping me strong. stronger than ever really.
Walls fall, worlds come tumbling down.
In one door, out another
one ear through the other
two hands grab the cover.

Everything feels deeper with eyes closed,
don't look at me, I don't want you to see
what I'm feeling.

I lost my lover to the sea,
I'm face down, salt water drowning me.
S'pose I'll find another.

My heart is open
and I'm learning
what it is to love
real love.

I'm planted firmly on this ball spinning circles through the universe,
this is my blink of time, I'm going to spend it well.
Well done.

Here's to something brighter,
so bright you have to close your eyes to see it.

for what it's worth

To love and to have lost is such a powerful feeling;
hopeless, breathless, clueless as to what comes next.

Standing in the middle of an empty street
exhaling frozen smog
snow on my eyelash
snow in my hair
the light glows a warm yellow, like an autumn moon
clouds hang high;
yet no one is there
no is there to share this beautiful view, from this random spot on this random road on this random night at this random time.
Oh, sweet melancholy.

The tangled web has me stranded, hanging by the wrong thread.
But in it all there's hope, excitement, even happiness.

Here's to the future,
hopefully a little more dry, a little more fruitful, a little more forward.

Bring it on.

broken
bruised
scarred
and you have no

as to how much i cared
scattered
pieces
on the floor
look what you did
and what for?

bowie said it best

something along the lines of 'cha cha cha changes'

everything is different, not everything but mostly everything
though it feels like everything
and it's wondrous

hold on
brace yourselves
it's coming

One swift movement
the scent of summer has shifted

i am about to embark on a 12 day road trip to the west
flying back home from san francisco

i can't wait

it feels good to be alive.

$hadow$peakEasy

August sunsets, sun setting on summer
it's coming to a near end, not yet
train rides to kalamazoo, blissed and back
life renewal, life we now lack
sleeping in the sunshine, hanging with the moon
love with costs, love without thought
lost, found, borrowed and forgotten
broken bruised sorrowful now turned rotten
the trash man can take my can full a maggots
everyday is new, everyday stronger

love it, live it
stop and watch the sunset
pet your dog
say hi to strangers

DOG days of SUMMER

"Keep moving forward without measuring how far there is yet to go."

it's a powerful feeling
the feeling of change,
growth, strengthening and weakening.
weathering, withering with the weather,
taking what comes with the wind.

it's a hot one, here we are deep in summer,
i'm so ready. i'm in it. i love it.

think about the good things.. xo
